We live in strange times

Blind belief

“Dont believe your wallet, your eyes or your ears, believe only what we tell you” is the slogan of this republican administration and it really seems to be working. Its hard to wrap my mind around the fact that I am living in a period of American History to which so many freedoms are being violated under the guise of american freedom. I can’t believe patriotism has been redefined as hatred, and people are united by their fear, and anger to the point that they have given up our liberties in order to feel safe, just as Ben Franklin predicted .

People are so confused about how all this stuff works, because just this week some people in Kentucky turned out to vote against New York City’s mayor because he is a muslim. Do you realize how very little education one would have to have in order to make this mistake? Conservatives in this instance claim the fear a mixture of sharia law and socialism even though the two concepts aren’t compatible. This party, wether they like it or not is the party of racists and christian nationalists who want a christian sharia law. I have already seen the christians online calling to repeal the 19th amendment. Projection remains undefeated.
