Suicidal

What does it mean?

There are two types of suicidal people. There are people in pain, wether its physical or emotional, and feel as if they can’t go on. Then there are the people who live without the fear of death, and their behaviors exude that. We all have met someone that made us think they had no regard for their life because they say and do things that would get ordinary people killed. Stuntmen, Athletes, Crash-Dummies, extreme sport enthusiasts, drug addicts/alcoholics, gang members, service members….are all good examples of the types of people who don’t give a fuck about their own well being.

If someone told me they were suicidal, and they didn’t seem depressed and weren’t asking for help, i know that what they are trying to tell me is that they don’t give a fuck about much of anything, but especially their own well being.

Most people who are suffering from depression and doom wont tell you they are suicidal. A person who doesn’t give a fuck would.

I knew this guy who was getting bullied, lets call him James for the sake of story telling. James told his bully one day that he was suicidal and should be careful. Instead, the bully went in harder in hopes the guy would kill himself, the only problem is, the bully didn’t realize what he was actually saying. Eventually the bully and his whole family ended up murdered, burnt alive while they slept. What he said was that he was suicidal, that doesn’t necessarily mean death. There is reputational suicide, suicide by self imprisonment, career suicide: there are a million ways to sacrifice your life without sacrificing your life but anyways, James’s motto, which was adopted from a JID record, was always: “if you’re feeling suicidal might as well as take a rival!”
