One of the more depressing truths about life is that charity, chivalry, and even common courtesy are seen by some as acts of deviation and deception. Have you ever heard the quote “no good deed goes unpunished”? The saying is so popular because often times there are negative repercussions for doing the right thing. Have you ever stood up for a victim of bullying, but then have the bully turns its gaze towards you? Have you ever been punished for telling the truth? And if these things have happened to you, and you get stuck in similar situations where you knew that if you did the right thing, you would be absolutely screwed, so you decided not to? If so, that’s a god damned shame!
If ever there were demons that exist, it would have to be those who punish others for doing good deeds, doing the right thing, or being charitable.
